Incorporating exercise into your lifestyle can be a challenge and something that’s easily derailed. Whether it’s work, school, family obligations, illness or a host of other reasons, there always seems to be something that can get in the way. If you find yourself in this situation, here are 7 tips to help get things back on track and fit exercise into your daily life.

Block out small increments of time to work-out. Instead of saying “I have to exercise for 30 minutes” try saying “I only have to workout for 5, 10 or 15 minutes”.
Put on your workout clothes. If you're dressed for action you’re more likely to take action.
Always keep in mind that doing some type of exercise is better than not doing anything at all.
Chose the best time of the day/week to workout and write it down on a calendar to keep yourself in check.
Write down how you feel after your exercise. It will help you recall how good you feel!
Think variety! Mix up your workouts (especially if you feel you have plateaued) so you won’t feel like you’re doing the same exercise over and over again. Biking, walking, swimming, running and weight training can all be alternated on different days.
Exercise with a partner(s)! Having a partner can bring an added level of accountability along with making exercise more enjoyable...and the time will go faster!
Finding the time to exercise and/or continue exercising can be challenging and a task that can be easily put off.
